Somewhere, somehow, along the way I became quite addicted to cappuccinos and lattes. It’s not so much the caffeine component as it is the silky foam that I enjoy so much. I love frequenting local coffee houses both here in Truckee and when I travel, and so it makes sense that this is one of my favorite candles. It’s a light aroma of coffee mixed with a touch of spiced oat milk.

This alluring fragrance smells exactly like lemon pound cake, with glaze! I have to admit I’ve never made a lemon pound cake myself, but that doesn’t really matter; I love this just as much as every person who’s entered my home and smelled the candle burning. 

The base of this candle is a specially formulated odor eliminator that has its own pleasant scent, but is made even better with a touch of linen. It brings back hazy memories for me of my mom hanging laundry outside on the line when I was growing up, not to mention the laundry hanging in the water heater room. 

This one's for my dad, who had a deep love of redwood trees. We enjoyed many walks through redwood groves over the years, and I particularly remember strolling the trails with him and my daughter when she was very little. This is a subtle redwood and moss scent, with a touch of wet leaves. My dad also loved rocks, maybe that’s a future candle.

An absolute crowd favorite, this fragrance is subtle, it’s sexy, it’s sunset vibes, and it lingers. At one time I lived in the Oakland Hills area of California, and had a spectacular view from the back of my house. I will forever associate deep-hued, velvety, and sultry sunsets with this location, looking out over the city lights of San Francisco, often while watching old Bollywood movies. This candle brings me back. 

I adore the smell of a wood fire, and have many precious memories throughout every era of my life associated with fires. Bonfires by the lake, by the ocean, fire pits in suburbia, backcountry cooking … the warm amber scent of this candle has a touch of smoke but isn’t overwhelming. More like a subtle background to deep conversations with friends and family, or maybe simply sitting in solitude.
